i saw a condo needing renovation for sale at a good price, but there are lots of cracks in the walls.?
i’m concerned about the building structure. in the stairway there are also some cracks. aparently it was repainted and replastered 5 years ago, but there are some new cracks. quite long (floor to ceiling) i know any building can move a bit, but…
also on one wall it is quite humid, with clear water damage seeming to come from the floor above.
when i ask about it the seller seems not to know.
it is a small studio and i am looking for a small studio as an investment.
walk towards another one.
my peers are correct; cracks are from both aging and weakness in structure.
have a good day

Then you pay a structural engineer to look at the building.
