If all of the illegals were removed from the jobs that are being done today, who would take over those jobs?
Your well educated children with their xbox? YOURSELF?? These illegals get paid little but for them its lots more than what they were earning before. They do not need the latest model car, new home, fancy clothing, and any other luxury. They just want to make a living and help out their family. MEXICAN PRIDE!!!!
American people would take over these jobs.

First of all I am a legal tax paying citizen,and Im a maid,along with 18 other legal Americans that are maids,I think you are ignorant to think that all legal citizens are rich and have game boxes,Prior to the disastrous immigration act of 1965, there was very little immigration.
In fact, between 1925 and 1965, immigration levels were so low the number of immigrants in the country actually declined. In fact, there was even a period of net emigration out of the United States.
Yet, during that time, Americans invented computers, had a healthy labor movement, initiated the space program that put men on the moon, made great strides in civil rights and environmental legislation, built the largest economy the world has ever seen, and successfully prosecuted WWII against two great powers on two fronts simultaneously. We also got our grass cut, our meat packed. Our children were being watched, and our houses were being cleaned.
The idea that somehow we suddenly can’t run a country without an endless supply of foreigners is absurd.
The falsehood repeated endlessly, that immigrants do the jobs Americans won’t, is really tantamount to something like this: Imagine the owner of the local McDonald’s puts a sign in the window that says: "Dishwasher wanted. $1.00 / hour." Suppose he leaves the sign in the window for a month, but no one comes in to apply for the dishwashing job. "See?" the McDonald’s owner might say, "Dishwashing is a job Americans won’t do. But there are a billion people in China who work for less than a dollar per hour. I need to import some cheap workers from China (or Bangladesh or Mexico)."
Then he or she will import the worker, undercut American wages, and, as a bonus, stick the taxpayer with the cost of the new worker’s health care, of educating his children, and so on.
And politicians will talk about how our economy "depends" on immigrant labor.
A country should do its own work.

Legal immigrants or Americans would do those jobs just as they did before. Surely you arent under the impression that many jobs in America were developed after illegals arrived.

Everyone wants to make a living and help out their family, buy you dont hear about people sneaking into other countries to do it, and there are countries ALOT poorer than Mexico. Maybe trying to fix whats going on in mexico should be your number one concern, since you have so much "mexican pride" why dont you stay in your own country? These arent jobs americans wouldnt dream of doing, these are jobs that big businesses can get done for a cheaper price. And with the money you send back to mexico, Im pretty sure you would be able to afford these latest model cars, new homes, and fancy clothing. Its not like the american dollar is worthless down there or anything.

Mexican Pride you say? Pride means not taking something for nothing, paying your hospital bills, paying for your kids lunch at school. I’ve been to Mexico, I see no pride there, guys laying around in filth, beating on women and producing more kids and then drinking beer and sending the poor kids out to sell chicklets and then taking their money.
The same people that did the jobs and kept America clean will do them again, they just won’t let big corporations exploit them.
By the way, at Christmas time when all the illegals are heading across the border to go home for Christmas, many of them are driving fancy new cars and pickups and have gold jewlery dripping from them….so don’t act like they aren’t liking all the luxury’s.
We have many poor hard working Americans over here that can’t afford some of the luxurys you have….but then they pay taxes and don’t get all the benefits the illegals are getting!

I would expect that if ILLEGALS were removed the employers would no longer be able to hire people for minimum wage for those jobs. So the employers would have to make a choice:
Go out of business or pay more money. And where an American may not be willing to stoop and pick tomatoes for minimum wage, he would be willing to do it for $10 per hour.
What the illegals do is keep salaries at an artificially low level.
Add to that the financial drain they create with needing medical care for their babies, care that the USA has to suck up and having illegals is not good in any long term way.
Now a question for you…..WHY do the illegals have such a hard time admitting that they are here ILLEGALLY and whatever we want to do to them as a result, short of shooting them, is OK?

You make it sound like the illegals are just oh so family oriented. — They are but their brat kids have the same wants as the evil Americans.
As for work – You must have a low level job ( if you are employed at all ) and you must have envy for thoes who could afford the nice things in life. – Nothing wrong with Mexican pride ( I am not sure how it differs from just plain old PRIDE ) – You sound like an angry person. Go to Church. and pray for some peace in your life.

If the illegals were removed fom their jobs and deported, as the rightfully should, then American’s should take them over. As of April 2007 we have a 4.5% unemployment rate of American’s. That is 14.85 million American’s. Remove the illegals and then get the American CITZENS to do their jobs. How many homeless people to you see when you are in downtown? A good deal. Offer them the job to better themselves.
