can anyone tour a luxury model home?
I’m not interested in buying, I don’t have the kind of money to buy a luxury home but I still want to see it. Do you think they will let me in? Or do they only let serious buyers in? Do you think I’d have to take a realtor?
Are you talking about a sub-division? Yes, you can, although they have the right to tell you no. They usually don’t though.
If you are talking about a luxury home for sale, yes, you often have to prove the ability to purchase before you are allowed to view the home.

yes it depends on the agent , etc but some times they will do it just to motivate you , to spread good luck, or to be nice, but it says in a real estate hand book that it’s ok to do, it also says not to do it too much

Yes just tart yourself up and ask to look at at least three. Just ACT like you have money. It’s a kick!

A model home, yes. Multi-million dollar Mansions for sale usually require pre-qualifying before showing.

If there’s an "Open House" sign posted or if one is advertised in the newspapers, then anyone can go in and tour the home on the date and during the hours that are posted/advertised.
If it’s a private listing, it might be more difficult.
With an Open House, you don’t need a realtor to visit the home. Also, new subdivisions often have a model home that you can visit. If there’s an agent on site, he/she usually won’t take the trouble to do the credit check, etc. until he/she knows you have an active interest in the home. The course to take would be to say that you want to see what the model home looks like before you decide whether you’re interested enough to go through all the paperwork. Then, after the tour, indicate that you’re not sure whether you’re interested – that you have a couple other model homes to view before making a decision, and that you’d like their card (a good touch) so you can get back to them if you decide to go forward.
Be sure you are neatly dressed when you go: no jeans, dirty Tshirt, etc.
