My daughter and son-in-law are in Denver area until Sunday looking for a home. They are very frustrated looking for an affordable home in a safe area. He will be working 30 miles East of Denver in Byers, Colorado. Does anyone know of any houses for sale that would be safe in the East, Northeast or southeast areas? Condo or townhouse also ok. No kids! Thanks so much–any advice would be appreciated!

I live in CA. and I’m a single parent tired of getting my rent raised every year. I need some stability in my life and don’t want to worry about my sons future. I heard that there are places that sale home or condos after repo and cost less than they are worth.
Can anyone answer this. I really need to know ASAP.
My rent was raised again & can not afford to stay.

pick up a homes magazine, there should be forclosed homes in there. U can always go to palm harbor homes and find a mobile home, or search online for forclosed homes in ur area. My 1st house was forclosed and we bought it for almost $40,000 less than appraisal value. Good luck!

That’s about 6.5 miles from the beach? Tough to sell as an investment property in any market. Especially tough in today’s slumping market. Keep them rented for a positive cash flow and ride it out.

I want a 1 week time share condo during ski season in utah or Colorado. I heard you can get a good deal if you buy it directly from the owner. How can I find a list of such time shares that are for sale. Thanks.

I don’t know of a good source for sale by owner (fsbo), but I know that Century 21 took over that market (pretty much) in Utah. I’d go there too as you’re looking.

You might try googling fsbo, that’ll get you mostly for sale by owner sites.

if i purchase a condo via short sale " already aproved by bank", and the price is $100,000 and the assesed price is 200,000 does this means that the equity in the property is $100,000?

2. how long would i have to weit in order to be bable to take out equity.

Assessed value has nothing to do with market value and no it does not mean there is a 100K in equity. There may be some equity but not a 100K. The assessed value was based on what the seller paid and not on current market value. Before you think you found gold at the end of the rainbow, have the condo appraised and you will know the true value. It may be a good buy and it may not. Never, never base market value on assessed value

We are looking and helping a friend with house-hunting.

We recently came across a house that is listed for $500K. It was originally $560K. The bank owns it. The house needs some work, appliances, etc. How low can you make an offer considering it needs around $50K of work done? Homes in the area have sold for $650-850K range, but the market is soft right now for luxury homes.

You really need to speak with a real estate agent in Dallas who knows the market rather than trying to ask real estate agents across the world. Try asking the question in Travel > United States > Dallas.
